I still don't understand why I find the King's Smith games so much fun. The animation looks like something a grade schooler would do. The sound track is Greensleeves - how cliche is that? The buying public voices are hilariously "off". Yet I get sucked in to this sequel just like I did the original. KS2 has even more playability than KS1, adding new features while keeping the game mechanics the same. The story line is ok, but hey we don't play TM games for the story. I wish I knew why this game is so addictive, all I know is I keep going back to it over and over again. Watching those little wagons slide across the screen and haggling with buyers and sellers while fighting the clock to complete the quests is just totally addictively fun.
Who thought I would be humming Greensleeves after playing this. Challenging game you have to think about, really enjoyable...oh and very very addictive! Working on the 2nd Masters level now and still struggling to get gold on the last 2 levels. There are some small drawbacks to the game but generally very enjoyable.
I already loved the first King's Smith and they added some good contents to the 2nd so the gameplay doesn't get too repetitiv. The only mistake this game has: It is too short! It should have like 100 more levels! So please give us a 3rd!
GREAT GAME!!!! a time management game with out a lot of clicking... nice way to pass sometime.... Other's complained about the music, I found it to be very soothing... I can see me coming back to lay this game again and again!!!! LOVE IT!
1st - i've ot a broken keyboard - I really like t is game a lot - it may have an issue or two but nothing too annoying. I've had it or a while - over a year? - and i still come bac to replay every few months because its really quite a satisfying play. it does have another mode after you finish the game, so its not terrib y short but each time i play i catch myse f wishing there had been another 10 levels or so. That would've made the game awesome...there is a voiceover actor in some brie parts who has a voice only a mother could love but again, i en oyed the overall game so much it didnt matter. I would almost de initely play a sequel - the producers of t is desperately need an English translator - does not inter ere with the game though.
On my favorites list. This game is so fun. It is challenging, yet not over the top. It's fun going for the gold. Just keep in mind that you may wonder how getting gold on all the levels is possible. Then you'll figure it out later. It's fun changing around your earned cards and seeing what works the best. I did have some issues with the sound. Other than that, what a great find on this one!! TRY IT!!
Besides the glitches.. i did not enjoy this game at all and the voice over...omggggg.. u cant skip the intro and have to listen to this dude talk! O.O ..I do not know what the others see in this game, i couldn't get past 30min of the trial .. buy an axe or shield , fix them.. then sell them on a cart that is your shop, customer walks up and you can say yes or no to the price they give..wasn't fun for me at all..didn't like the graphics either, guess i missed what was so fun about this game.
Kicking myself a bit for not discovering this game earlier. That aside.. This game got me hooked from the first few minutes. I'm a smith, probably during medieval times, with a thief as my best bud. How cool is that! Sure, the graphics were quite the throwback to the old DOS games (hello, is this Might & Magic? We have your characters here...Er, is that refrigerator art?) and the voicework badly needed some direction. However strangely, this combination, coupled with my favorite Canon in D in constant replay, actually works and even presents its own charm. It's unique from the usual bug-eyed characters and polished graphics (though I usually like bug-eyed characters and polished graphics). The game's best feature, I would say, would be its challenging gameplay. You actually need to pay attention to the ongoings, keep an eye on resources and sometimes even really plan ahead to get gold. Overall, a fun game with some good replay value.
